Catching a Sun Baked Michiganite

Ryan Field, FOX Sports 1 Anchor, has won many Emmy Awards. He began in his native Michigan and worked at many levels to get where he is now. Ryan is one of the top rated anchors on FOX Sports.

With his very busy schedule Ryan Field (@RyanField_FS1) was kind enough to sit down with us outside his studio and tell us why he thinks that Houston McTear's story should be told, "for someone to have success at the highest level"..."then come crashing down to earth"..."it is not often you hear someone come back up from the lowest of lows". Ryan has been broadcasting sports for many years and is astounded at the amazing story that Houston's life presents. Not only to the many up-coming athletes out there but even to allow those athletes that are at their lowest of lows even today, his story speaks to everyone about

the ability to not only rise up again but to rise above the materialism that the media portrays and believe that the rising can be for yourself and for your own personal struggle and self fulfillment.

The Curator Speaks about the Story

"Curator of Life", thats what Don Bell calls himself on his Don Bell Photography page. His Day job, if you will, anchor at FOX Sports 1, is where we caught up with him though. After he had seen the website and read the information about 9 Seconds. His feelings were first a bit astounded that this story had never

really been told. Second he was so happy that this story was being portrayed to today's audience. He really feels that in todays atmosphere of sports being all about the all mighty dollar that hearing a story that ultimately portrays an superior athlete like Houston being able to hang up his cleats to have a simple and fulfilling life is one that will resonate with today's young athletes of tomorrow.

Always Keepin' it Real with Mike Hill

Mike has been in the sports broadcasting game since leaving the Air Force. Mike knows his sports and has reported from many sports desks across the south winning two Emmy's along the way. Now an anchor on FOX Sports 1, CEO of Thrill Entertainment, and an actor he found that Houston's story was one that even he hadn't heard. He absolutely believes that Houston's story of not only climbing to the top of 100 yard dash and then losing everything is the story but it is his rise again that speaks to the youth of today. "Its a great inspirational tale that everybody should hear about."

Smooth Talking Greg Wolf

MAR

Anchor of FOX Sports Live,  actor, UCLA alum. Greg Wolf has lent his voice to many commercials, voice-overs and was even complimented by Robert Downey, Jr. on the set of Ironman 2.

Greg has lent his valuable talent to so many projects and now to 9 Seconds as well. We caught him in between his shows on FOX Sports 1 Network where he was able to tell us his take on the life story of Houston McTear. He felt deeply moved at the extreme situations that Houston found himself in and how it would seem that even at his lowest Houston was able to still

find hope again. With the help of Linda Haglund, a fellow track star from Sweden.

From the Mouth of the Beast!

Being able to get into the Beast 980 radio booth was great but being able to sit down to such a successful person as Marques Johnson was beyond great! he was so enthusiastic about the production of 9 Seconds that his normal even tone became even more emphatic. He was personally moved by Houston's struggles and saw how this story had the power to move anyone feeling like there are powers that

While at the studio today we met up with another wonderful person that feels the same way we do about this one-of-a-kind story, Dan O'Toole. Dan stopped by and gave us a heartfelt response to a few of our questions. He was blown away by Houston's story and the way he not only became a top runner in the beginning but even after loosing everything he was
